In a post on October 13, 2025, Moran marked the federal holiday, stating, “Today, we mark Columbus Day, a reminder of a journey that shaped our country’s history. In 1492, Christopher Columbus set sail across the Atlantic and opened the door to a new era of exploration and discovery.”

Later the same day, Moran commented on recent events in the Middle East, writing, “All living hostages have finally been returned home. Today marks a new Middle East. Thank you @POTUS for your unwavering commitment to peace through strength.” This statement follows ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.

In another post, Moran discussed his participation in a symposium focused on rural water issues in Texas, saying, “Appreciated the opportunity to join the @TexasRuralWater Association’s Water Utility Symposium in ETX to discuss how we can support rural water and wastewater utilities across our state. Investing in infrastructure modernization and expanding technical assistance are key to”.

Nathaniel Moran has served in Congress since 2023, succeeding Louie Gohmert as the representative for Texas’s 1st district. Moran was elected in 2022 after defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the general election, receiving 78.1% of the vote.
