Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, recently shared his thoughts on several topics via social media. Born in Whitehouse, Texas, in 1974, Moran is a graduate of Texas Tech University and resides in his hometown.

On June 6, 2025, Moran commemorated the anniversary of D-Day by acknowledging the significant impact of the event. “81 years ago, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy and turned the tide of history. The world would never be the same,” he stated. He emphasized honoring those who fought for freedom against tyranny: “Today, on D-Day, we honor the brave soldiers who fought for freedom against tyranny. We will never forget their courage and sacrifice.”

Later that day, Moran extended his congratulations to a local sports team on their recent success. “Congratulations to @shpanthernation on winning their first State Championship today,” he wrote on June 6th. He praised their dedication throughout the season: “Proud of y’all’s hard work throughout the season!”

On June 8th, Moran addressed an incident involving violence against ICE officers in Los Angeles. He expressed his disapproval of such actions as contrary to upholding law and order: “Violent mobs assaulting ICE officers in LA is an affront to the rule of law. You do not defend freedom by attacking the men and women who uphold it.” His statement was accompanied by hashtags supporting law enforcement.

Nathaniel Moran has served in Congress since replacing Louie Gohmert in 2023.
