Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently commented on international diplomacy, trade policy, and local economic development through a series of social media posts.

On July 28, 2025, Moran posted about his appearance on NewsNation with Laura Ingle to discuss President Trump’s foreign policy efforts: “Joined @lauraingle on @NewsNation to talk about how President Trump is reshaping global diplomacy. His leadership is bringing countries to the table, and we’ve already begun to see the results.”

Later that day, he addressed issues of international trade and competition with China: “.@POTUS is fighting for fair trade for the American people, but bad actors, like China, must play by the rules.” The post reflects ongoing debates in Congress regarding U.S.-China relations and efforts to promote fair trading practices.

On July 29, 2025, Moran highlighted his engagement with local business leaders: “Great conversation with the New Boston SIDC/CDC and local business owners yesterday. These discussions are invaluable for staying connected to the needs and priorities of our business community. It was great to share how the OBBB will contribute to advancing local East Texas”.

Nathaniel Moran has represented Texas’s 1st District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Louie Gohmert. He won his seat in the 2022 general election by a significant margin over Jrmar Jefferson. As a member of Congress from East Texas since 2023, Moran continues to address both national policy issues such as global diplomacy and trade as well as regional economic initiatives.
