Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account reflecting on recent events and policy positions.

On August 26, 2025, Moran visited a local institution and shared his reflections: “A solemn day visiting the London Museum & Cafe in New London. Grateful to the dedicated staff for preserving the memory of so many young lives that were lost in tragedy in 1937, and the lessons learned as a result that have saved countless lives since.”

The following day, August 27, he commented on national energy policy: “Petroleum fuels progress and drives innovation. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, we are strengthening America’s energy independence. Drill, baby, drill!”

Later on August 27, Moran addressed a recent act of violence: “Devastated by the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis that took the lives of two children and injured many others. We lift up the families in prayer and stand with them in this time of mourning.”

Nathaniel Moran has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 1st District since 2023 after replacing Louie Gohmert. He won his seat by defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the 2022 general election with over three-quarters of the vote.
