On July 12, 2025, Moran expressed gratitude to Tedd L. Mitchell for his leadership at the Texas Tech University System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center over the past fifteen years. In his post, he stated: “Thank you @TeddLMitchell for your strong and steady leadership atop the @TTUSystem and @TTUHSC for these past 15 years. We are grateful beyond words to both you and Janet for your thoughtful vision, daily dedication, and unending commitment to excellence.”
On July 13, 2025, Moran marked the anniversary of an attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life. He wrote: “Today marks one year since the attempted assassination of President Trump. We thank God that President Trump survived and continues to fight for the future of this nation.”

Nathaniel Moran was born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and continues to reside there. He earned both his BA and JD from Texas Tech University.
