Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media highlighting his activities and recognitions in East Texas.

On August 11, 2025, Moran shared his perspective on connecting with constituents outside of Washington: “One of the best ways to stay grounded in this job is to get out of Washington and listen to real folks working real jobs, building better lives for their families. That’s why I joined the @WaysandMeansGOP in visiting small business owners, parents, and manufacturers across https://t.co/le7CgvhPNe”.

The following day, August 12, Moran congratulated a local radio personality: “Big congrats to my friend @coatesktbb on making the Texas Radio Hall of Fame! A true East Texas legend and one of the best in the business. Proud of you, Bill! https://t.co/iO7G16tpx6”.

Later that same day, he addressed students and parents at the start of a new school year: “It’s back-to-school time, East Texas! To all the students: step into this year ready to learn, grow, and answer the calling God has placed on your life. And to all the parents—thank you for the early mornings, supply runs, and encouragement that keep your kids moving https://t.co/REzizspoug”.

Nathaniel Moran began serving as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 1st District in 2023 after replacing Louie Gohmert. He secured his seat by defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the 2022 general election with over 78% of the vote.
