Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his social media accounts addressing tax relief, honoring fallen service members, and regulatory issues affecting the East Texas oil and gas industry.
On August 25, 2025, Moran highlighted recent legislative developments: “.@POTUS One Big Beautiful Bill is providing historic tax relief to ALL Americans. Texans will see an average Tax Cut in 2026 of $3,942. See the average tax cut in 2026 for your county: https://t.co/3akEyXAzw2”
The following day, on August 26, he paid tribute to American servicemembers who lost their lives during an evacuation mission four years prior: “We will never forget the 13 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. 4 years ago, these heroes were senselessly killed. In the chaos and danger of evacuation, they stood watch to guide civilians to safety, and carried out their mission with courage. May God Bless these https://t.co/VFN6daxApi”
Later that same day, Moran addressed regulatory matters concerning local energy producers: “East Texas oil & gas shouldn’t be strangled by Washington red tape. I joined colleagues in urging the EPA to act, and I’m glad to see Delek Refineries in Tyler finally get the exemption they’ve needed for far too long. Thank you @epaleezeldin for your leadership. Undoing”
Nathaniel Moran began serving as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 1st District in 2023 after succeeding Louie Gohmert. He secured his seat by defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the general election held in 2022 with over three-quarters of the vote.
