Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media highlighting local achievements and expressing gratitude to various groups in his constituency.

On August 4, Moran commemorated a milestone for a key branch of the armed services, stating: “Happy 235th Birthday to the @USCG. Thank you for your unwavering service, courage, and dedication to protecting our coasts and communities.” This post marked the anniversary of the United States Coast Guard.

Later that day, Moran provided an overview of regional progress in East Texas via his regular update series. He wrote: “The latest edition of the Moran Minute highlights local wins across East Texas: OBBB-driven economic growth, support for community colleges, and honoring our Longview first responders. Read what my team and I have been working on across the district: https://t.co/1iki6dAGXO https://t.co/XugUzX92zP” The tweet referenced both economic development initiatives and recognition of local emergency personnel.

On August 6, Moran acknowledged the contributions of transportation workers and discussed recent legislative efforts: “Grateful for the hardworking truckers who keep East Texas moving. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, we’re delivering tax relief on overtime and fueling growth in construction and manufacturing jobs across the country. @HouseGOP is proud to put American workers first.”

Moran has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Louie Gohmert as representative for Texas’s 1st District. In the 2022 general election, he won decisively against Jrmar Jefferson with over 78% of the vote.
