Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district, has been actively communicating his legislative efforts on social media. In a series of tweets, he discussed the implications and benefits of the recently passed “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.”

On May 19, 2025, Congressman Moran addressed concerns about Social Security benefits under reconciliation rules. He noted that although these benefits cannot be directly altered, the “pro-senior tax cuts in the ‘One, Big, Beautiful’ bill” will provide relief to retirees earning less than $75,000 annually by offering them a full return on taxes paid.

Two days later, on May 21, Moran highlighted border security measures included in the same legislation. Emphasizing urgency with his message “Border security can’t wait,” he detailed provisions for infrastructure development aimed at completing the border wall and increasing manpower through additional hiring of agents. He asserted that this physical barrier could not be easily reversed by future administrations.

In a tweet dated May 22, Moran expressed his support for the bill’s passage in Congress. He stated “It’s not just policy—it’s principle.” The congressman celebrated it as a victory for working families and small businesses while reinforcing the values tied to achieving the American Dream.

Nathaniel Moran succeeded Louie Gohmert in representing Texas’ 1st District since 2023. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and currently residing there, he holds both a BA and JD from Texas Tech University.
