Former Texas High School standout Miguel Martinez pitched for the Sul Ross State Lobos on Sunday, March 1, as they dropped a 26-15 decision to the Texas A&M Kingsville Javelinas in NCAA Division III play at 1 p.m.
Kokernot Field hosted the contest, marking the fourth meeting this season between the Lobos and the Javelinas. In their previous matchup on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Lobos were defeated 9-2.
Martinez gave up 10 earned runs in 2.2 innings, with four walks and two strikeouts recorded.
Sul Ross State is set to play next on Thursday, March 5, at 11:30 a.m. when they face the St. Edward’s Hilltoppers at Lucian-Hamilton Field.
