Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, has recently shared his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. The congressman, who succeeded Louie Gohmert, has expressed concerns about national security and the role of faith in politics.

On June 9, 2025, Congressman Moran emphasized the importance of passing the “One Big Beautiful Bill” during a critical period marked by unrest. He noted that “the violent protesters in L.A. reinforce one thing—our communities need all available resources to be kept safe.” The bill aims to fund the hiring of additional law enforcement personnel, including 10,000 new ICE agents.

In another tweet dated June 10, 2025, Moran questioned Christian involvement in politics by stating “If you’re a Christian, how can you not be involved in politics?” He argued that spiritual battles often manifest as cultural struggles and stressed the importance of leadership alongside figures like Senator Lankford and Representative Mark Walker.

Later on June 10, Moran addressed geopolitical tensions involving China. He warned against China’s military actions with a tweet saying “China continues to test the limits.” Moran highlighted the potential risks posed by China’s antagonistic exercises and underscored the reality of this threat.

Nathaniel Moran was born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and still resides there today. A graduate of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD degree, he brings his educational background into his legislative work.
