Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, has recently shared his views on several issues through social media. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974, Moran holds a BA and JD from Texas Tech University. He succeeded Louie Gohmert in Congress and continues to engage with constituents on matters ranging from intellectual property to international politics.

On June 13, 2025, Congressman Moran addressed concerns about the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), stating that it “must rein in the rogue judicial overreach taking place.” He described this overreach as “a direct assault on American innovation and the Trump Administration’s efforts to crack down on IP theft.” Read the full op-ed with @TheHill.

Later that day, Moran highlighted a local event by tweeting about the Great Texas Balloon Race held in Longview. He noted that “the skies over Longview came alive once again this summer at the 2025 Great Texas Ballon Race,” describing it as an event cherished by both East Texans and visitors worldwide. In another post made on June 13, Congressman Moran criticized Gov. Tim Walz for supporting what he called “the failed Iran nuclear deal,” accusing him of enriching “the world’s largest state sponsor of terror” and suggesting Walz now wants Communist China to be the “moral authority” in the region. You can’t make this up.

Nathaniel Moran has served in Congress since replacing Louie Gohmert in 2023. Born and raised in Whitehouse, Texas, he holds degrees from Texas Tech University.
