Congressman Nathaniel Moran, representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, has been actively sharing his perspectives on various national issues through social media. On July 8 and 9, 2025, he posted a series of tweets addressing concerns about global dominance by China, changes in IRS policy regarding religious endorsements, and developments in U.S. energy exports.

On July 8, Moran highlighted concerns over China’s ambitions for “global dominance in military, economic, and technological power.” He noted that as a member of the Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), they have been warning about these threats for months. He expressed approval of recent actions by the Administration to address these issues seriously.

Later that day, Moran commented on a new development from the IRS stating that “pastors shouldn’t lose tax-exempt status for endorsing candidates from the pulpit.” He called this change “a step in the right direction” and emphasized that “religious speech shouldn’t be policed by Washington.” He also acknowledged First Baptist Church Waskom in Texas for their role in advocating this cause (source).

On July 9, Moran shared news regarding U.S. energy exports to Germany. He stated that “The U.S. is now Germany’s largest LNG supplier,” describing it as beneficial for American jobs and energy leadership. He attributed this achievement to policies encouraging American energy production under President Biden’s administration (source).

Nathaniel Moran was born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and still resides there today at age 48. An alumnus of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD degree, he succeeded Louie Gohmert as congressman for Texas’ 1st District.
