Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities through a series of tweets. Elected to replace Louie Gohmert in 2023, Moran has been actively engaging with community and industry leaders across East Texas.

On June 20, 2025, Congressman Moran tweeted about his visit to Buckner International in Longview alongside Texas State Senator Bryan Hughes. He participated in a roundtable discussion with various community groups addressing state and federal issues. “We are so thankful for the important work they do across East Texas for children,” he stated.

Later that day, Moran expressed appreciation for meeting with Eastman Chemical Company’s team to gain insight into their operations in East Texas. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the region remains conducive to innovation and opportunity.

In another engagement on June 20, 2025, Moran visited Brenntag’s Coastal Chemical facility in Kilgore. He observed their contributions to various industries, including oil and gas. “This team from top to bottom is a prime example of the high quality and character,” he noted regarding the facility’s leadership.

Nathaniel Moran was born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and continues to reside there. A graduate of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD degree, he has served as a congressman since 2023.
