Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who has represented Texas’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently addressed several key issues through a series of posts on social media. Moran, born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and a graduate of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD, continues to engage constituents on matters ranging from infrastructure to community resilience.

On July 9, 2025, Moran discussed efforts to improve weather safety for rural Americans. He stated, “I joined @kytxcbs19 Chief Meteorologist @BrettCBS19 to talk about the urgent need for life-saving weather infrastructure in rural America. That’s why I’ve reintroduced bipartisan legislation to close critical radar gaps and strengthen early warning systems. Rural communities”.

Later that same day, Moran reflected on the importance of faith within government leadership. He posted, “Moments like this remind us of the power of faith. It’s a blessing to see this Administration come together in prayer.”

On July 10, 2025, Moran provided an update regarding an emergency situation affecting one of his district’s municipalities: “The City of White Oak is Without Water Service: As of late Thursday morning, the City of White Oak is experiencing a complete water outage after a fiber-optic installation crew accidentally drilled into a 12-inch water main on White Oak Road. Boil Water Notice is in effect”.

Nathaniel Moran succeeded Louie Gohmert as the representative for Texas’s 1st District in 2023. He currently resides in Whitehouse, Texas.
