Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted legislative initiatives and policy concerns on his official Twitter account.

On April 9, 2026, Moran posted about a federal program aimed at improving rural health care. He wrote, “The Working Families Tax Cuts created the Rural Health Transformation Program—the single largest investment in rural health care in more than two decades—and it’s delivering real results for East Texas. This week, I sat down with health care professionals at @UTTyler Health”.

Later that day, he addressed economic policy measures targeting small businesses. In a tweet dated April 9, 2026, Moran stated, “America’s small businesses power our economy. By making the Small Business Deduction permanent, restoring 100% of immediate expensing, and doubling the small business deduction, @HouseGOP is delivering REAL RELIEF for America’s job creators.”

On April 10, 2026, Moran turned to national security concerns regarding foreign influence in U.S. institutions. He tweeted: “The Chinese Communist Party cannot be allowed to exploit our institutions from within. Thank you to Chairmen @RepJasonSmith and @RepMoolenaar for calling on the IRS to examine whether CCP-linked organizations abuse their tax-exempt status to influence U.S. politics. As a member”.

Nathaniel Moran has served as the representative for Texas’s 1st District since replacing Louie Gohmert in 2023. He was elected after defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the general election with over three-quarters of the vote (78.1%). Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and currently residing there at age 48, Moran holds both a BA and JD from Texas Tech University.
