Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who represents Texas’ 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets between July 21 and July 22, 2025, addressing upcoming legislative events and his positions on foreign policy.
On July 21, Moran invited constituents to participate in a live tele-town hall event. In his post he wrote: ” Reminder: Join me Tuesday, July 22 at 7:00 PM CT for a live Tele-Town Hall on the One Big Beautiful Bill, and hear from special guest @RepHouchin, a key member of the Energy & Commerce Committee who helped shape this landmark legislation. Don’t miss it!”
The following day, Moran expressed support for new congressional measures regarding Taiwan. On July 22 he stated: “Proud to support Chairwoman @RepLisaMcClain’s Taiwan Conflict Deterrence Act. By imposing financial consequences on the CCP for any aggression toward Taiwan, we strengthen deterrence and reduce the risk of conflict. Peace is preserved when freedom is defended and tyranny is”.
Later that same day, Moran commented on recent developments within NATO leadership and transatlantic security policy. He posted: “.@POTUS changed the game.
His tough, no-nonsense leadership has pushed NATO allies to step up and invest further in transatlantic security. Firmly pressing partners and allies to be more responsible for their own security is a critical step to ensuring peace for all involved.”
Nathaniel Moran has served as the representative for Texas’s 1st District since replacing Louie Gohmert in 2023. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974 and currently residing there at age 48, Moran holds both undergraduate and law degrees from Texas Tech University.
