Congressman Nathaniel Moran, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 1st district since 2023, shared a series of tweets reflecting on American values and current events. Born in Whitehouse, Texas in 1974, Moran is an alumnus of Texas Tech University with both a BA and JD.

On July 3, 2025, Congressman Moran tweeted about America’s unique standing in the world. He stated: “We live in the most free, the most powerful, the most benevolent nation that has ever been on the face of the Earth, and there’s a reason for that.” He credited this to America’s foundational belief that “our rights come from God, not government,” echoing sentiments shared by Speaker Johnson.

The following day, July 4th—America’s Independence Day—Moran celebrated the nation’s history with another tweet: “Land of the Free. Home of the Brave. Today, we celebrate the birth of a nation that has led the world for 249 years—and the principles that still make her worth fighting for.” This message underscored his patriotic reflection on America’s enduring principles.

Later on July 4th, Moran addressed a pressing local issue concerning severe weather conditions affecting his constituents. He urged support through prayer for those impacted by flooding in Texas Hill Country: “Please pray for our friends in the Texas Hill Country as they face severe flooding. We’re lifting up the families waiting for word, the first responders navigating dangerous conditions, and many neighbors who show up without being asked.”

Nathaniel Moran succeeded Louie Gohmert as representative and continues to reside in Whitehouse.
