CITY OF STEPHENVILLE: Household Hazardous Waste Event Update

Waste

City of Stephenville issued the following announcement.

We received notification from The City of Fort Worth, stating they have “extended its State of Emergency due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Efforts to curb the spread of this virus focus on reducing personal contact and restricting public gatherings (social distancing).”

“With this in mind, the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center has made the difficult decision to cancel all mobile collection events through August 31st, 2020. At that time we’ll re-evaluate the necessary cancellation of the remaining mobile events.”

“Unfortunately, the collection event scheduled on August 22nd in Stephenville has been impacted by this decision and we’ll not be able to host this event as planned. This was a tough decision to make, but it’s necessary to protect the health of everyone. The Environmental Collection Center, 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth remains open and available for your residents.”

Vouchers are still required by city residents who wish to take items to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center. These vouchers will be available beginning July 1, 2020 through August 31, 2020 in City Hall at the Water Department, located at 298 W Washington. Please bring your Driver’s License with you to obtain the pass. If you have any questions regarding the event or this posting, please call 254-918-1292.
