City of Stephenville issued the following announcement.
The City of Stephenville ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
On September 15, 2020, the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas adopted the tax rate of $0.4550 per $100.00 valuation for the tax year 2020
$ 0.4368 for the purpose of maintenance and operation.
$ 0.0182 for the payment of principal and interest on bonds
$ 0.4550 Total Tax Rate
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.23 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-14.40.
