CITY OF LONGVIEW, TX: Gov. Abbott Expands Capacity for Certain Services, Announces Nursing Home Guidance

Abbott

City of Longview, Tx issued the following announcement.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott expanded capacity levels for various services and permitted nursing homes to welcome guests with restrictions on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The announcement came alongside Executive Orders GA-30 and GA-31 as the governor continued to lift restrictions as the number of COVID-19 cases fell across the state.

Gov. Abbott increased occupancy levels for restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, gyms and exercise facilities and classes, museums, and libraries, and re-authorized elective surgeries for a majority of the state of Texas, including Longview.

Mayoral approval is still necessary for outdoor gatherings with more than 10 attendees, and bars will remain closed at this time.
