Census Bureau: More women than men in Jefferson in 2019

Of the 2,512 people living in Jefferson in 2019, 55.3 percent (1,389) were women and 44.7 percent (1,123) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Upper East Texas News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 765-to-596. In the 65 and over age range, there were 331 females and 222 males.
