There were 3,856 students enrolled in Paris ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Paris ISD students was white, accounting for 31.7% of the student population.

Paris ISD roughly covers schools within Lamar County with its main office in Paris.

Among the eight schools in Paris ISD, Aikin Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 937 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
