Rep. Pat Fallon, representing Texas' 4th congressional district, sent a letter today to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Attorney General Pam Bondi. The letter calls for an investigation by the Trump Administration into potential connections between anti-Israel organizations on U.S. college campuses and Hamas, which is recognized as a Foreign Terror Organization.
"Recent evidence further points to troubling ties between campus organizations and the terrorist group Hamas, particularly with regards to the campus organizations' alleged advanced knowledge and support for the barbaric attacks of October 7, 2023. It is in the United States' national security interest to investigate these alleged ties and hold these groups accountable."
The congressman emphasized the need for action in his statement. "We cannot allow foreign terrorist organizations to operate freely with campus organizations on American soil," he said. "I am calling for swift action to prevent further malign foreign influence on our campuses."
Joining Rep. Fallon in the request for a probe were fellow legislators Rep. Barry Moore from Alabama's 1st district, Rep. Keith Self from Texas' 3rd district, Rep. Claudia Tenney from New York's 24th district, and Rep. Rudy Yakym from Indiana's 2nd district.
