51 percent of applicants to Texas A&M University-Texarkana were admitted for fall 2018

At Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 60 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Texarkana enrolled 2,097 students in fall 2018, including 1,664 in undergraduate and 433 in graduate programs, data shows. 19.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 10 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (54 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (18 percent).

The school admitted 51 percent of the 3,850 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
