Hopkins County schools enroll 24,828 students in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 05

Hopkins County enrolled 24,828 students in the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is 17,901 more than the year before.

Hopkins County was ranked 40th in enrollment among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
