Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD Education: 995 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 995 students enrolled in Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 54.3% of them were boys, and 45.7% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD students was African American, accounting for 37.6% of the student population.

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD roughly covers schools within Morris County with its main office in Daingerfield.

Among the four schools in Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, Daingerfield High School recorded the highest enrollment of 272 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
