Mount Pleasant ISD schools Education: 810 white students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 810 white students enrolled in Mount Pleasant ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Mount Pleasant ISD schools welcomed 5,139 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 15.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Mount Pleasant ISD roughly covers schools within Titus County and has a main office in Mount Pleasant.

Among the nine schools in Mount Pleasant ISD schools, Mount Pleasant High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 255 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
