Sulphur Bluff ISD welcomed 227 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 227 students enrolled in Sulphur Bluff ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 11.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.6% of them were boys, and 45.4% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 78% of the Sulphur Bluff ISD total enrollment.

Sulphur Bluff ISD roughly covers schools within Hopkins County with its main office in Sulphur Bluff.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
