Enrollment at Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD schools increased by 1.8% compared to previous school year

There were 1,013 students enrolled in Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.4% of them were boys, and 47.6% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD students was African American, accounting for 36.3% of the student population.

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD roughly covers schools within Morris County with its main office in Daingerfield.

Among the four schools in Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, Daingerfield High School recorded the highest enrollment of 297 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
