How many white students were enrolled in Sulphur Springs ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 2,334 white students enrolled in Sulphur Springs ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Sulphur Springs ISD schools welcomed 4,361 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 53.5% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Sulphur Springs ISD roughly covers schools within Hopkins County and has a main office in Sulphur Springs.

Among the nine schools in Sulphur Springs ISD schools, Sulphur Springs High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 670 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
