There were 304 Hispanic students enrolled in North Lamar ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that North Lamar ISD schools welcomed 2,450 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 12.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

North Lamar ISD roughly covers schools within Lamar County and has a main office in Paris.

Among the six schools in North Lamar ISD schools, North Lamar High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 98 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
