Enrollment Analysis: Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of Pewitt CISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There was one Pacific Islander student enrolled in Pewitt CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Pewitt CISD schools welcomed 833 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Pewitt CISD roughly covers schools within Morris County and has a main office in Omaha.

Pewitt Junior High School was the only school in the district which enrolled Pacific Islander students, welcoming one student in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
