There were 7 Asian students enrolled in Harts Bluff ISD schools in 2022-23 school year

There were seven Asian students enrolled in Harts Bluff ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Harts Bluff ISD schools welcomed 868 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.8% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Harts Bluff ISD roughly covers schools within Titus County and has a main office in Mount Pleasant.

Among the two schools in Harts Bluff ISD schools, Harts Bluff Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of five students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
